From Billy to Natalie to D.K, Seth from Safe Haven to the Veterans United insurance team…the team I had is the best!! And also a special shout-out to my realtor, Diana Johnson, who held my hand through everything and always had my back throughout the entire process! “Team” what team. They just left me on my own and I got stuck with the WORSE DEAL. I will be telling all my veteran buddies and circles to stay clear of this company. All they care about is l getting you to sign so they can make their money. Then they sold my loan not even a day after signing it no notice so that messed up my homeowners insurance which I had to fix. Highly not recommended to use to this company.

As I had said on the previous survey. Dan, Erin, Emily, and Bo were epic in their performance. They should be your training models and your satisfaction rating would go up 100%. These are a few things they did you keep getting dinged on in surveys. 1 Dan’s response time on a question or return text. 5-10 mins no more (Very impressive). Erin pre informative (Send requested photo documents in completely intact. No missing corners. No cut off lines. Banker may ask for some additional documents day before closing (Your not surprised and think VU don’t have their crap together) Do not apply for new credit or move a large amount out of an acct (keeps from having banker tell you you’re no longer qualified day of signing). Emily called twice a week to check in and took a lot of behind the scenes like utilities. Discounts etc. Bo was very knowledgeable on Insurance. The entire team would call or text me 1-2 times a week this showed they cared about ME. I managed 8 different Walgreens stores in 25 yrs. I know Surveys and how to win on them. Overall the team succeeded in Customer Service, Response time, and letting you know what was going to happen before it did. No surprises.

Veterans United Loans was very good regarding information and service to the customer.
However, the Veterans United Insurance section needs instruction regarding the importance of returning telephone calls from the customer and/or just a follow-up contact as to inquiring if the customer has any questions. It was a toss-up whether to go with Veterans United Insurance or Armed Forces Insurance (AFI). I went with Veterans United primarily due to cost. Once I made that decision, the Veterans Untied Insurance associate failed to return my call and I never heard from him again (commission made–now move on to the next customer). However, the AFI associate continued to make contact with me as to how she could have improved her service. There was nothing wrong with her customer service, AFI was simply a bit more expensive than Veterans United, but her customer service surpasses that of Veterans United. I have waited for the dust to settle regarding the closing of the house, in order to re-evaluate my Home Insurance selection. Even though the AFI cost is more, I now find myself trusting their insurance associates more than Veterans United. I will probably terminate Veterans Insurance and pay the extra cost for the trust I have in the AFI insurance associates.

We were expecting the home buying process to have so many bumps in the road. All we’ve ever read about are nightmares when it comes to delayed appraisals, lack of communication from loan teams, and trying to prequalify/close on a home using a VA loan. We had friends and family urging us not to waste our time using Veterans United as our lender. In fact, we were told by so many people to go the conventional route for a mortgage loan, especially during a pandemic.WE ARE SO THANKFUL WE DIDN’T TAKE THEIR ADVICE. If I could upload a screenshot of my call log/texts, I would. I don’t think a day went by after our offer was accepted that at least one rep from our personal loan team was in contact with us by phone, text, or e-mail. Our entire VU team has been incredible from the start! I believe we closed in 35 days, and that’s only because we chose the extra 5 days as a favor to the sellers. Our appraisal was requested just a few days after the offer was accepted and completed within 72 hours. Our loan officer encouraged us to return any requested documents as soon as possible to prevent delays, and as long as you’re living in 2021, you don’t even need to leave your home to send on any documents. Everything was completed by uploading screenshots to myVU portal.I absolutely recommend the following reps to ANYONE looking for a good VU team: JOHN LYMAN – Loan Officer, ABBIE MAISLIN – Loan Coordinator, FRANCIE GREEN – Home Buying Concierge, and JENNA SADICH – Veterans United Insurance Agent.A++++++ WILL DO BUSINESS AGAIN

Tyler Chinn, my loan officer, was the whole reason I chose to go with Veterans United instead of 2 others I was interviewing. He was quick responding, gave very detailed explanations on every aspect of the loan process. He educated me so I could make informed decisions regarding the choices I had on what type of loan and other decisions I could make along the way. He was always available to answer my questions via email or phone. He would call to let me know something was coming my way to review or sign. He is honest, very knowledgeable of the whole loan process and he always had a cherry, upbeat, positive attitude and great sense of humor which came through the phone and brightened my days. Their electronic data system is far superior than any I have EVER used. I would get email notifications of “to do” or “document to review and sign” and immediate pdfs within seconds of signing. Uploading documents was extremely easy and they could be viewed again at any time or deleted and updated. They had educational videos on a lot of different loan and closing topics that were very useful and many other helpful tools are available. I also picked Veterans United Insurance because of the quick quotes compared to the other agents. Paul Lee, my agent, was also very efficient and straight to the point. I highly recommend both to every Veteran AND non veterans too!
